In August 2019, I stopped at Pyongyang Okryu Bangkok for cold noodles, dumplings and rice rolls.

The cold noodles came in a broad metal bowl, topped with half a boiled egg, cucumber and a fine yellow garnish. I thought they were really good, and said the same about the kimchi dumplings.

The dumplings were served with lettuce and a small dipping bowl. There were also sliced rice rolls on a black platter, with cucumber between them.

The food was not spicy at all. Asked about the meal, I praised the noodles and kimchi dumplings, then added: “Very nice. I would go back haha.”
