Keukenhof: spring flowers in Lisse
Tulips and flowering shrubs from a 2015 visit to Keukenhof in the Netherlands.
Keukenhof was full of colour: yellow tulips beside small blue flowers, cream petals streaked with pink, and flowering shrubs beneath the trees.

Bright yellow tulips grew beside small blue flowers. Elsewhere, cream tulips opened into broad, ruffled petals with pink centres, with white flower spikes between them.
Under the leafy trees, pink flowering shrubs had darker speckles inside each petal. Unopened buds sat beside the blossoms. The gardens were full of small variations in colour and texture, from tidy tulip cups to those loosely clustered flowers.
