Paris, Versailles and Disneyland in 2015
Paris landmarks after dark, the Royal Chapel at Versailles and Disneyland’s evening display.

The 2015 stops in and around Paris included the Arc de Triomphe after dark, Napoleon’s tomb, the palace at Versailles and a Disneyland castle lit by fireworks.
Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower
The Arc de Triomphe glowed yellow against the night sky. Farther away, the Eiffel Tower sent a beam across the darkness, above the traffic.
The Dôme des Invalides
At Napoleon’s tomb, painted figures, gold ornament and tall windows surrounded the dome overhead.
The Dôme des Invalides was formerly a royal chapel before becoming the setting for Napoleon’s tomb.
Tuileries Garden
Pale paths and clipped trees filled Tuileries Garden, with an ornate palace façade beyond them. It was a daylight stop among the Paris sights.
Versailles: the Royal Chapel and gardens
In the Royal Chapel, pale columns rose towards a richly painted ceiling. A gilded organ stood at the far end, above the lower level.
The palace visit also included the Hall of Mirrors, with chandeliers beneath a painted ceiling, and the gardens. Outside, clipped hedges and gravel paths surrounded circular pools.
Disneyland Paris
Fireworks spread above a blue-lit castle at Disneyland Paris, leaving bright trails and smoke in the night sky.
Colourful projections changed the castle again. Yellow and green shapes covered its lower walls while the towers stood above them.
